Step out from the Gallery with ocean as your backdrop, the Lawn has an expansive grass area perfect for a large seated ceremony.

Weather restrictions

The weather on the west coast of New Zealand is wonderful, wild and unpredictable, as such a clifftop ceremony may not be an option of the day. However the courtyard sheltered behind the Gallery or even in The Gallery are great options.


The Lawn
An expansive space on the west side of the Gallery with jaw dropping panoramic views of the farm and the Tasman Sea, The Lawn is great alternative ceremony location.

How many people/guests can you accommodate?

The Gallery Max capacity180 Seated, 200 Standing.


Can our guests bring their motorhome or camp?

Parihoa is strictly no camping. Guests can book The Gatehouse or The Cottage or nearby options for overnight accommodation.

Do you require a Covid Vaccination for guests?

Yes - we require vaccination for all visitors to Parihoa.

Where are you located?

Our address is Constable Road, Muriwai Beach, New Zealand, 0881 – We are around 40 minutes drive from Auckland.

Will you be having any open days for couples and wedding suppliers?

Due to Covid we have temporarily stopped our open days - we can book private site visits. Please do contact us for more information.


When booking a wedding at one of the Parihoa event spaces what's included?

Your chosen event space until midnight the day of your wedding and access to the farm for photos.

When can my suppliers set up and when does everything have to be packed up and taken away?

Set up is available from 9am on the day and pack down must be completed by 9am the next day. Anything outside of this can be arranged and quoted accordingly.



The property is secured behind two locked gates - these are on sensors and are able to be accessed remotely.



No liquor is to be sold without a Special Licence granted by the Liquor Licensing Agency. Failure to comply may result in a fine of $20,000 and/or closure of your event.

BYO allowed, therefore only the Host can provide alcohol to the Guests free of charge. At midnight, we ask that all guests have left the property.


Can I have a marquee?

Parihoa does not allow marquees to be erected, unless arranged prior to your event. If you have a specific request please contact us directly.


Is there parking available?

There is limited parking available at The Gallery venue space, we highly recommend organise shuttles or a bus for your guest from a location that best suits you.

Entertainment /AV/Decorations

You are welcome to bring in your own style of entertainment. Particular equipment required for the entertainment would need to be supplied by yourself or the entertainers themselves, keeping in mind time for set up and taking away.


What's not included?

Music (AV included)



Guests can arrive to Parihoa by car, and buses can be catered for. Guests are required to walk from the parking area to the ceremony location. No cars are to be parked elsewhere.



To confirm and secure your booking date, there is a booking fee of $500. This is non refundable and non deductible. A non-refundable, deductible deposit, of 20% of the minimum spend, is required prior to your requested function date. We will send an invoice through to your preferred email address. Any further costs would be discussed with you in person if required. Wedding rates are based on 24 hour hireage and elopements are based on 3 hour hireage.
